Reasons to not to procrastinate studying your target language(s):

  • Languages are beautiful and fascinating (and you probably love your target language, don’t you?)
  • Learning languages is fun, interesting, and productive and has many benefits
  • You can only get better at your target language and reach your goals by studying and practicing your target language
  • You never know when you’ll meet a native speaker of your target language or find yourself in another situation where your language skills are needed
  • Getting little studying done and realizing how much more you understand and how much you’re improving is an amazing feeling
  • You will seem more hardworking, disciplined, and successful and other people will look up to you more and be inspired and motivated by you
  • Procrastinating doesn’t benefit you or your language studies in any way
  • Procrastinating makes you forget what you have learnt and get worse at your target language
  • Procrastination can make you feel guilty, insecure, and depressed
  • The longer you procrastinate the harder it is to start studying again
I feel like we need some clarification

me at 14: wow, protagonists in media my age! how relateable!

me at 28: WHY ARE THERE SO MANY CHILD SOLDIERS? WHERE ARE ALL THE ADULTS? WHO LET THIS HAPPEN AND WHY ARE THEY NOT BEING PROSECUTED BY LAW WITHIN THESE FICTIONAL UNIVERSES

In the same vein:

Me at 14: oh protagonists that are 17-20-ish, they’re basically adults, right?

Me at 28: Oh my Gods you’re babies who left you in charge?!

Ariel: Daddy, I love him!
Me at 14: Yeah, girl, you tell him!
